Lennox Pulse Furnace
Service
City Suburban can perform service on your Pulse furnace heat exchanger. To determine if the heat exchanger requires replacement, the it must be pressure tested. If any pressure is present, the heat exchanger passes the pressure test. The warranty requires the heat exchanger be held for 60 days and the Lennox Field Technical Consultant will randomly check these heat exchangers.
Warranty
Lennox typically warranted the Pulse heat exchanger and said it would provide a replacement heat exchanger or a credit applied to the purchase of a new Lennox furnace in place of the heat exchanger. Since Lennox Pulse heat exchangers have not been available for several years, the only available option under the express terms of the warranty is a credit toward the purchase of a new Lennox furnace.
If the heat exchanger fails the pressure test Lennox will offer you a brand new furnace for a significantly reduced price. You will now have a new furnace with a five year parts warranty (which had long since expired on the original Pulse) and a new lifetime limited heat exchanger warranty.
